Program Overview
The ConQuest Father Son Program for boys in grades K-2, provides the
opportunity for fathers to participate in their son's formation and to introduce young
boys to God the Creator and Father. Stories of Biblical heroes demonstrate how God's
heroes assist him in his work. The boy is thereby motivated to become one of God's
heroes himself.

(6) week “Campaigns” each which is focuses on a specific virtue. They learn the virtue
through readings from a Children’s Bible on Biblical heroes and Saints, poster board competitions,
skits, and Catholicism contests.
Positive Motivation through the use of a “point system”. Points are awarded to boys for
displaying any act of virtue or leadership.
Boys are assigned to squads with one boy designated a “Squad Leader”.
Code of Conduct and Commitment Cards are issued to instill virtues, build character on a daily basis. The (5)
daily commitments are: participate in the Mass, obey your parents, obey teachers and persons in authority,
say your morning and night prayers, be kind and loving to your brothers and sisters. Parents are encouraged
to review the commitment cards no less than weekly for use as a teaching instrument.
A ConQuest Group Participant is…
Committed to RESPECT, SELF-DISCIPLINE and OBEDIENCE.
He strives to be unselfish, courageous, responsible and honest.
Must have at least (2) adult men present at every meeting.
Each meeting consists of Catholic apologetics and catechesis with about half of the time earmarked
for competitive sports (dodge ball, capture the flag, races, junior Olympics, etc.).
Each meeting has a pre-set curriculum and agenda from the programs of ConQuest and formation material
by Catholic Youth World Network.
Each Campaign has an award ceremony in the 6th week, recognizing the top performers and each
squad based on number of aggregate points collected during the Campaign and individual displays of
exemplary character and leadership. Every squad wins a prize.
Older boys from the ConQuest Leadership Program (ECYD) are assigned to be the leaders of
the Fathers/Son and Junior Division squads with the guidance of adult male leaders.
